«Dodo» is the word used in nursery language to mean a sleep or byebyes. A mum will tell a child « va au dodo » when it is time to go to bed or « fais dodo maintenant » when it is time to go to sleep.

The word dodo is frequently heard in the expression « metro, boulot, dodo » which designates a tedious existence where all the person does is travel on the metro/underground, go to work and sleep.
