If you don’t already have plans for Bastille Day, this is for you.
* Soiree Quiz - French Quiz Evening
Date: Thursday July 13th 2017
Venue: Ohauiti Hall
Quiz Start Time: 7pm
Cost: $15 - This covers the quiz, of course plus coffee, a delicious French dessert and “animation - chansons” courtesy of Chef Stephen
Bring: Yourself, your friends, your partners, in fact anyone who wants to have fun and discover what they know about all things French.
Format: Tables of 6-8 people (not necessarily pre-arranged). Questions are about France, French things, Francophone countries and Franco-NZ links. Questions are in both French and English so no French language knowledge and no dictionaries are required. Lots of multiple choices.
NO LAPTOPS OR OTHER DIGITAL DEVICES PLEASE
Please advise to french@maddixpark.co.nz ASAP if you will be coming, just to have an idea of numbers. A minimum number is required before I start thinking up questions.
* Le Tour de France :
The Café de Versailles has an hilarious, interactive Dinner Show Le Tour de France from July 14th. The banqueting audience will be transported back to the dawn of La Belle Époque in Paris of “Le Moulin Rouge” and Can Can dance. Put on your Beret and striped shirt if you want and let the show begin!

* Farmers’ Market:
The morning of 15th July is still the 14th in France so come & celebrate at the French flavoured Farmer’s Market. Wear your beret, dress in red, white and blue and, from 8.30am, enjoy the music, cancan, waiters’ race, prizes, authentic French Crepes and join in for La Marseillaise ! The market is held at the Tauranga Primary School, Cameron Road.
