Bastille Day Quiz
Date: Tuesday July 12th 2022 (in advance this year !)
Venue: Wesley Church, 100 13th Ave, Tauranga
Quiz Start Time: 7pm
Cost: $22 - This covers the quiz, coffee/tea plus delicious dessert and some entertainment from the inimitable Chef Stephen!
Bring: Yourself, your friends, your partners, in fact anyone who wants to have fun and discover what they know about all things French. Everyone is welcome.
(However, if you are unwell, please stay at home).
Dress Code: French
Format: Tables of 4-6 people (not necessarily pre-arranged). Questions are about France, French things, Francophone countries and Franco-NZ links. Questions are in both French and English so no French language knowledge and no dictionaries are required. Lots of multiple choice questions plus some that require answers.
For example:
Question 1: In the « French Song », who does the sun say good morning to ?
a) the mountains b) the moon c) the dawn
Question 2: France has which geometric shape ?
a) pentagon b) hexagon c) heptagon?
Question 3: Which animal dreams of becoming a top French chef in the animated movie « Ratatouille » ?
Question 4: Which three months come next ? Août, avril, décembre, février, janvier, juillet, juin, mai …..
Please advise to french@maddixpark.co.nz as soon as possible and by midday Monday July 11th if you will be coming, just to have an idea of numbers for catering.
