"Vive la France!" coming to Tauranga

Award-winning Operatunity is on the road again with its first ever French-themed concert touring nationally, stopping in Tauranga on July 15 at the Holy Trinity Church.

‘Vive la France!’ has two fantastic casts that will showcase famous French music for audiences to enjoy and sing along to, complete with piano accordion.

Company director and soprano Susan Boland (pictured above) will join Elisha Fai, Stuart Coats, Paul Chappory, Alex Wiltshire on piano and Craig Denham on piano accordion.

Susan says the concert promises to be full of fun, laughter and hit songs.

“Vive la France is filled with gorgeous well-known songs with a splash of Opera,” says Susan.

“It might be wintery in New Zealand, but with great singers and the piano accordion adding such colour, you will feel like you are sitting in a sidewalk cafe on a balmy Paris evening.”

Famous French music featured in the concert are vibrant songs like Can Can (feel free to dance), Chanson d’amour, C’est si bon, C’est magnifique and beautiful French ballads such as La Vie en Rose, I love Paris and Autumn Leaves.
