Driving Down the West Coast

From Paul & Jill

Jill and I have spent a week in Paris and we are now driving down the west coast of France. We have enjoyed the special cakes and the baguettes and cheese. We also discovered galettes, buck wheat crepes which are very popular and nice. The roads are good and the drivers considerate so no probs there. We saw the Bayeaux tapestry and we explored Mont St Michel as well as cruising many pretty villages and towns. Rouen has a particularly lovely old centre. The weather is damp but I think that is common for much of the year. The advantage of this time is fewer tourists around. The roads are often empty enough for us to drive slowly and stop for photos.
I speak a little French to people but most of them speak better English than I do French.
